Saturn has 30 satellites, some sharing the same orbits. The data interpretations have been confused by debris located within Saturn's Rings.

Ring System begins about 7,000 miles above the visible
boundaries of the planet, and just above Saturn's equator. The
rings extend some 35,000 miles into space. The diameter of the
Ring System is about 170,000 miles.
The Ring field is estimated to be about 10 miles thick. In 1973
radar imaging showed the Ring particles to be large chunks of
material averaging a meter in size.
